Living in Kendal for 18 years with Lorrainne and daughter Freya.

Previously worked in outdoor centres in the Lakes then self-employed as a consultant specialising in teams and management development, travelling around the country. Working for many national and international organisations and with young people, apprentices through to senior management teams.

Enjoys spending time in the outdoors travelling through mountains, canoeing across lakes or sailing over to Ireland or around the Scottish west coast. Now the journeys often include Safie, his black Labrador, who gets up the hills much faster than Martin!

At home he’s an Apple Mac fan using a range of computer technology in various projects, from photos to newsletters and music. When not up a mountain or in a boat, the family can sometimes be found enjoying the beaches of Brittany in northern France.

Brings a creative approach to learning new skills. Patient and calm whatever the situation.

Flexible approach to working with new drivers covering a wide area around the Kendal driving test centre, with pupils from as far as Penrith, Ambleside and Kirkby Lonsdale.
